Elvis, Gambling and Ooh La La

I’ve been told a picture is worth a thousand words so that means a dozen pictures and a 12 meg video should be the value of a decent novelette. Margaret and I spent August 3rd through the 5th in Vegas celebrating 25 years of married splendor (hmmmm is “splendor“ the appropriate word to use since it now stands for fake sugar?) Anyway, I did my Vegas best to lose money, drink too much and drag my wife to inappropriate shows. Hey, I can't help it that she was dumb enough to say “I Do” 25 years ago. Paris is a wonderful place to stay. The ambiance is comfortable and romantic. August is not the peak of their hotel season however we were still amazed by the numbers of people (and wealth). New development seemed to be taking place everywhere we looked. The Vegas strip is not a place where most normal folks should (or would) spend more than a week. We got remarried by Elvis in the Graceland Chapel several miles from the heart of the strip on Monday and by Tuesday evening we were on a plane heading home. I hope you enjoy the pictures and if you are fortunate enough to be with the same person (like me) after 25 years count your blessings and celebrate as often as possible. Heck if it’s only a year I still say celebrate as often as possible.
Please take some time to click on the last image and watch the renewel of our vows with assistance from Elvis.
